Fellow Anglers – Welcome to the FASTA website

FASTA: the umbrella group for the main angling clubs and private fisheries on the Foyle system of rivers.

FASTA is an umbrella group for the main angling clubs and private fisheries on the Foyle system of rivers and encompasses three counties on both sides of the border.

We work to protect the future of salmon and sea trout stocks which we believe are a valuable and natural resource and which, with appropriate management, could yield social, recreational and economical benefits to a much greater extent throughout the North-West.

FASTA is a unique organisation for two reasons. Its membership is made up of two distinct groups – private fishery owners and community angling clubs on the Foyle system, both working together to ensure that this once bountiful resource is returned to a healthy state.

FASTA is a cross-border, cross-community organisation which mirrors the structure of The Loughs Agency.
